Projects
Pam runs projects and programmes from our spaces at 1a Inverness Place and Braeval Street Studios (including our darkroom, community garden, and sound studio.) Each project is something that has come from a direct need in our community, and we aim for these to be long term and embedded.
We also run our popular yearly Open Exhibition somewhere around early summer. More information for this below.
Chatterbox / The Healing Project
Chatterbox is a space for Muslim Women Artists to come together and socialise, share opportunities, find out more about each other and create new work together.
The Healing project comes out of Chatterbox, and is centered around collective healing through creating artwork together.
Solstice Radio
Solstice Radio is our fm and online radio project, celebrating the shifting seasons through audio commissions. It runs twice a year, at Summer and Winter Solstice.
Climate Cooks
Climate Cooks are a group of women who have lived experience of the asylum system, who come together monthly to cook and eat. We are now mobile, thanks to an electric bike with a fold out kitchen, so can be found in a car park / art space / allotment / park near you!
The Open Exhibition
The Open Exhibition has been running for over ten years! Hosted by our friends at g39, each year there are around 100 or more submissions. It’s completely free, and anyone can enter, regardless of age, ability or experience.
